Bilingual Tax Receptionist Needed – (Seasonal) ***

  

Position Description:

 

            A bilingual seasonal Tax Receptionist (January-April) to help assist a small accounting and tax firm with handling clients, booking appointments, and other office duties. Please be advised: This is a VERY busy time of the year for us and the workload and pace can get overwhelming. Therefore, we need someone with the ability to multitask and handle clients efficiently while under great pressure and demand.

 

*** This position is seasonal but can develop into a permanent position.

 

Requirements

 

Experience:

 

  • Must have receptionist experience, preferably tax receptionist
  • Must be bilingual, English/Spanish (speak, read, and write fluently in both)
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must have flexibility (some days may require overtime)
  • Must respect all confidentiality rules (must sign confidentiality agreement)

 

Skills Needed:

 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Tax Wise knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to navigate the internet and use email
  • Must know how to use a copy, fax, and scanning machine
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must have good people skills

 

Tentative Schedule:

 

** Training will begin in December for about 8 hours per week.

 

January: 10-15 per week

February: 20-30 per week

March: 15-20 per week

April: 30-40 per week

 

Duties:

 

  • Answer multi-line phones promptly and in a cordial manner
  • Book appointments appropriately
  • File tax returns appropriately
  • Greet and direct clients in appropriate and friendly manner
  • Light office cleaning
  • Assist supervisor with minor duties
  • Assemble tax return packets for clients
  • Make coffee and buy doughnuts for boss (use own money!) Just kidding must have a good sense of humor!

 

Compensation:

  • $10/hour or DOE
